QA Engineer

We’re pushing into an exciting new chapter of growth and looking for a Lead QA Engineer to join our fast-paced, mission-driven team in NYC, Denver, or remotely.

As a QA Engineer at Pico, you will take ownership of our support engineering process through discovery, triage with our Customer Experience team, and coding. As a member of our Engineering team, you should be hungry to deliver great products to our customers, comfortable with wearing multiple hats, willing to get your hands dirty, and excited to work collaboratively with members of both the engineering and business teams.

You are:

  • An inventive engineer with 2+ years of experience as a QA Tester or web developer
  • A competent Frontend engineer, with Javascript, CSS, and HTML in your toolbelt
  • Visually oriented and drawn to visually compelling applications
  • Fascinated by complex products with deep interactions and delightful outcomes
  • Obsessed with playing with and improving products through your immeasurable curiosity
  • A proactive communicator and writer
  • Experienced with partnering with both engineering and support teams
  • An eager collaborator on dynamic teams with a variety of expertise and approaches

You have:

  • Flourished in a dynamic startup environment
  • Been a key part of successful Quality, Engineering, or Product teams
  • Coded your own solutions, using Javascript, CSS, and HTML
  • Worn a lot of technical hats with fearless joy

You will:

  • Collaborate actively with our Customer Experience team to triage and prioritize issues
  • Creatively solve problems, looking beyond symptoms and patches to find root cause of issues
  • Engineer solutions using Javascript, CSS, and HTML
  • Recognize patterns and escalate larger issues to the Engineering team
  • Test, measure, and indemnify the Quality of our products using multiple testing modalities including manual, automated, stress, pen using modern tools like Selenium, Webdriver, TestCafé
