Charli D’Amelio’s net worth has skyrocketed as the TikTok star gained more brand partnerships, commercials, and a reality show. Here’s where her finances are at.

As one of TikTok's biggest stars, Charli D’Amelio has used her massive following on TikTok to generate a variety of income streams. From sponsored posts and brand partnerships to merchandise sales and public appearances, Charli is proving that being a social media influencer can be big business.

In this article, we'll take a closer look at Charli D'Amelio’s net worth and break down the different ways she's cashing in on her TikTok fame.

Charli D’Amelio’s Rise to Fame

Charli D'Amelio has quickly become one of the most popular creators on social media, with over 200 million combined followers spread across TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter.

D’Amelio was born in Norwalk, Connecticut, to her parents, former model Heidi D’Amelio and former Republican Senate candidate (and current CEO of their family business, D'Amelio brand) Marc D'Amelio. The young TikTok star shares the social media spotlight with her older sister, Dixie D’Amelio,

D’Amelio started her TikTok journey in 2019 when she was only 15 years old. She initially focused on creating lip-syncing videos but gained traction on the app by posting dance videos to trending songs, going viral after the first two months on the platform. TikTok OGs still remember the “Renegade” dance trend.

She quickly amassed a large following and in 2019 joined the Hype House to work with other top TikTok creators and got signed with Outshine Talent management. In less than a year, she became the most followed person on TikTok worldwide. (However, Khaby Lame currently holds this title.)

D'Amelio's success on TikTok has led to opportunities in other areas of the entertainment industry. The dancer starred in a SuperBowl commercial, a reality TV show, and her feature film debut “StarDog and TurboCat,” where she’s also the voice of Tinker. In November 2022, she competed on the 31st season of “Dancing With the Stars” and won with her professional dance partner, Mark Ballas.

Gaining fame and brand deals at a breakneck pace, D’Amelio has made her mark on TikTok and the entertainment industry as a whole. But what’s her net worth, and where does that money come from?

Last year, Charli D’Amelio clinched the title of the highest-paid influencer on TikTok. Forbes estimates she made about $17.5 million in 2021, which is over three times the amount she made in 2020. Currently, Celebrity Net Worth estimates Charli is worth $20 million.

D’Amelio’s earnings are a combination of income-generating ventures, including merchandise sales from her clothing brand Social Tourist and social media sponsorships. She’s had brand partnerships with companies such as Sabra Hummus, Hollister, Invisalign, Morphe cosmetics, and Dunkin' Donuts.

To better understand Charli D’Amelio’s net worth, let’s look at her income streams:

1. Brand Partnerships and Sponsored Content

Sponsorships and brand partnerships make up a substantial percentage of Charli D'Amelio’s net worth. Her partnership with Sabra Hummus alone in the 2020’s Super Bowl commercial brought in $1 million.

Her partnerships with beauty and fashion brands also helped her to launch signature items. In 2021, Charli D’Amelio collaborated with jewelry brand Pura Vida to develop a line of bracelets called the “Charli D’Amelio Pack.” The D'Amelio sisters were also the fresh faces of Morphe 2, where they launched their unique collections of various beauty products. And Orosa Beauty has a nail polish collection inspired by them.

Even with endorsement deals pouring in, Charli still makes money posting videos on TikTok, where she’s estimated to make six figures per post. Multiply that by the number of her monthly sponsored posts, and that adds up pretty quickly.

2. Merchandise Sales

With D’Amelio’s social media cloud, it’s no wonder brands want her to be the face of so many products. Through a partnership with Hollister, D’Amelio has co-founded a line of casual clothing, the Social Tourist. Forbes reported that this collaboration helped Hollister achieve an almost 10% sales increase by the end of September 2021.

In 2020, the D'Amelio sisters signed an exclusive licensing partnership with Just Mobile Direct to create a brand of vlogging accessories, including exclusive ring lights. They get a cut from every sale.

She’s also written a memoir, “Essentially Charli,” which became a New York Times bestseller, started a podcast with her sister in collaboration with Ramble, launched a fragrance called Born Dreamer, and a brand partnership with Lightricks, a video-editing app.

3. Reality Show

The D’Amelio family has a Hulu docuseries called “The D'Amelio Show. Charli and her sister also have a show called "Charli vs. Dixie" on Snap original.

With these sorts of deals, a celebrity influencer can get paid through a flat fee, or a commission based on the success of the show. For reference, Hulu paid a reported $100 million for two seasons of The Kardashians show.

The exact fee for collaboration between the D'Amelio family and Hulu is not public knowledge. But we can bet the show was lucrative for both parties, as the season was renewed after the first season's debut. The show must be getting good numbers.

4. Show Appearances

D’Amelio was cast as a star/celebrity pair dancer on the 31st season of “Dancing with the Stars” in 2022 and went on to win the competition with her professional pair dancer, Mark Ballas.

Stars earn a $125,000 signing bonus per season of the show. They get a pay bump the longer they stay on and advance through the competition. For instance, if they make it to the third week, they get $10,000 more. That goes up well until the semi-finals and finals, where the finalists get an extra $50,000.

This brings Charli’s earnings on this show alone to more than $300,000 during the three months she was on the show.

5. Google AdSense

AdSense is a program run by Google that allows approved businesses or brands to show ads on YouTube videos. When a content creator enables ads on their videos, they can earn money every time someone watches or clicks on an ad based on a set click per conversion (CPC) rate, which varies across different industries. In the U.S., content creators who create insurance and online educational content have the highest CPC rate

On Charli D’Amelio’s YouTube channel, she posts music videos, lifestyle content, and updates about her shows. Her videos have received over 300 million views.

D’Amelio makes money whenever her videos are viewed. With more than 9 million subscribers, the platform offers a huge earning opportunity for her.
